Good Earth Art with Andrea Belfall

An arts and craft workshop designed for children. Children will be able to create and produce art using objects collected from the environment around them. This may include: clay, bark, leaves, recycled cardboard etc. Some activities may also have a Dragony twist to them! Ideas have been influenced by the text: Good Earth Art (environmental art for kids), written by Mary Ann Kohl and Cindy Gainer. The art experiences in this book are designed to “enable children to acquaint themselves with the natural qualities of the earth such as leaves, rocks, shells, dirt, wind, rain and sunshine” (taken from text). The activities within the text are also designed to encourage children to observe the world they are living in and remain in touch with its many changes. The idea is to encourage the development of a caring attitude towards the earth.

Paper Mache' with Stefanie Booth

Paper Mache masks two stage process:

  • Day 1 create the masks,
  • Day 2 decorate with paint, feathers and make our creatures come to life!

That's not Football with Stefan Booth

Soccer inspired games for kids to meet and play together over a game of soccer/shoot outs

This is just a small taste of what the Dragon has in stall for the kidlets this year!

Keep checking the website for more details or bring your children down to the Kids Space and create friendships, art & smiles.
